Basic Information on PACE
PACE was formed on January 4, 1999, and represents
320,000 workers in the paper, petroleum, chemical, allied
pharmaceutical, atomic, auto and related manufacturing,
and associated industries. There are approximately 1,600
local unions in all the states and Canada. The convention
is the highest governing authority of the union, and the
next convention will be held in 2003.
PACE is divided into 11 geographical regions, and each
region is headed by a regional vice president elected at
the convention by the membership of that region. The
International headquarters is in Nashville, Tenn.
